Here you will find a list of some of the most frequently asked questions. If your question is not among them, just contact me.
I LOVE BLUES MUSIC BUT I DON'T PLAY AN INSTRUMENT CAN I STILL BECOME A BLUESMANWARRIOR ?
Yes !!! , If you have a love for music then you can be a Bluesmanwarrior, I believe that in american culture some of the greatest music has came from the blues such as Jazz , Country , Rock and Roll , Soul , Metal , and yes even Hip Hop , Rap and other music as well.
I'M A FEMALE HOW CAN I BE A BLUES "MAN"
It's just a title. There are females so good at music I consider them to be Bluesmen. We should remember that the earliest blues recordings were by female singers. Today there are many women promoting blues music and thats a wonderful thing. For me Bluesmanwarrior sounded better than Bluespersonwarrior.Music is non-gender.
BY USING THE TERM SPIRIT AND WHAT YOU PUT IN YOUR VIDEO IS THIS A RELIGION ?
Trying to seperate music from religion would be difficult at best. Most churches utilize music in some fashion. In fact some churches have large stages and great sound systems and there are many great musicians who play at church. There are some musicians who if it wasn't for thier church would have died. Things are what they are, some believe blues and rock and roll is the devils music and some blues folklore hasn't helped change thier opinion. For me listening and playing music at times can be what I would consider a religious experience.
WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO GAIN WITH THE BLUESMANWARRIOR PROJECT ?
To help people understand blues music and for everyone to be united through music. I have always had a great respect for the older bluesmen, they have paved the way for some great musicians. There are many famous blues musicians of more recent times some alive, and some have passed on, which have contributed greatly to the blues. They are like spokesmen for this genre of music. Then they are those who listen ,play the blues that will never be famous or recognized it is just thier love of the music, it is these people that keep the spirit of the blues alive. Blues music which was born out of a human condition of suffering to give the spirit a feeling of hope will never go away. It has the basic essentials of all music in a raw but complex form. I don't think music is in danger of disappearing but perhaps the reason music "is" will. This is why there will always be a need for Bluesmanwarriors.
